Listen to our professional explaining the Education section

Education section gives you the edge

Many companies favour candidates with a strong educational background. As a consequence, it's critical to emphasise your academic achievements. Your greatest degree should be listed first, followed by lower qualifications.

Include the following information:
  • School or College Name
  • Degree Name
  • Field of study
  • City and state of school
  • Graduation (month and year)
  • Description

In the description section, add any highlights or any extra curricular activities you may want to showcase or an overall GPA in case you have received a good score.

You can also mention coursework or subjects details, if relevant to the job description.

In the case of an experienced applicant, the education details can often be made fit to a single line to preserve as much space as possible for your experience section.

Things to keep in mind when filling out the Education section:
  • Avoid any spelling errors.
  • Make accurate educational timelines.
  • Mention your schools' names in the right sequence (most recent at first).
